Nice to meet you!
The Long Version
I’m a digital creative generalist with a hybrid skillset who draws inspiration in my day-to-day work from my background in studying sociology and interactive design. My strengths lie at the intersection of digital marketing, social media, storytelling, copywriting, community building, user experience and creative content strategy. I’m strongly interested in furthering my product management and crypto skills in 2018.
In my career so far, I have worked with all sorts of different organisations including tech startups, the UK government and several nonprofits, including global coworking community TechHub, Silicon Valley-based Trip.com, edtech company GetKahoot.com and the Government Digital Service, just to name a few. I’ve just finished up 2-years of working as an associate with a social good-focused agency called Montfort, creating magic for clients like Amnesty International UK, CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), Science Based Targets Initiative, The Green Party, and the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment. You can learn more about my work with Montfort on my Linkedin page.
Personally, I have always been a very inquisitive person who is obsessed with learning what motivates people’s behaviour and why they interact with things the way they do. I’ve taken those observations into my work and pushed myself to understand how to communicate effectively and create great experiences for different audiences and radically different groups of people. This inquisitive spirit also drives my nomad spirit and love of travel (cliche, I know, but true!) and a respect for our human diversity. I made the transatlantic move from my native Canada to London, U.K. back in 2011, and I now divide my time between Southern California and London. I have now travelled to 20+ countries in my short life, despite not owning a passport for the first time until I was in high school. I’m pretty proud of that accomplishment.
Right now, I really enjoy working on projects which with related to sustainability, human rights, tech for good and other pressing issues that are important in this political era. I am always happy to discuss new collaborations with inspiring people and organisations, so please do get in touch! 🎉
